The Manaslu Circuit Trek is the best all round tea-house hike in Nepal on the Great Himalaya Trail; the new Annapurna Circuit. No camping needed.

Share a jeep to Langtang, Syabru Besi, from Kathmandu

If you are putting together your own trip, you might be facing a fun-packed local bus ride, with a lot of ‘packed’. Private jeeps are pretty costly but the cost can be reduced if you share. Add your name and departure date to this list and we’ll try and hook you up for a more affordable ride. Plus, could give you an extra afternoon’s trekking in Langtang up the river.

You can get a good deal on a jeep from Swiss Travels and their office is easy to find. Check here or call Akash on 9841313801

Office location map.

You can view others’ wishing to share and their dates here.
Add your trip to the list

Kathmandu to Syabru / Syaphru / Shyapru

You can take a public jeep from Balaju Bypass, a little way from New Bus Park. See the numbers on the business card below and book your place. Nine per jeep, so it is pretty tight. A few hundred rupees more than a bus and a lot faster (but no chance to stop for photos etc.)

Syabru / Syaphru / Shyapru to Kathmandu

From Syabru, however you want to spell it, jeeps can go from Yala Peak Hotel at the north end of the main street.
