The Manaslu Circuit Trek is the best all round tea-house hike in Nepal on the Great Himalaya Trail; the new Annapurna Circuit. No camping needed.

Manaslu Trek with a purpose

Here is a trek that doesn’t actually go around Manaslu over the Larkya La, but visits Lihi where you can stay in the village and do some good deeds for a week.

Have you ever wanted to trek in the Himalayas and at the same time make a difference for a whole village community?

Well Hope Alliance ‘A Trek with Purpose’ is for you…

Join a Hope Alliance team on one of our treks and projects into Lhi, a remote village in the Mount Manaslu region of the Himalayas.

It takes us 6 – 7 days to get there, along some of the most picturesque mountains trails along the Buri Gandaki River.

we’ll spend a week fitting out the school we’ve had built, painting it, building library shelves, working with the students, running training workshops for the teachers, supporting the health post and doing life with local families. At the end of our stay we catch a helicopter back to Kathmandu.

The treks are organised by Hope Alliance from Australia. The dates are as follows:

  • 2012 ‘TREK WITH PURPOSE’
    • Sept 22nd – Oct 7th
    • Nov 10th – Nov 25th
  • 2013 ‘TREK WITH PURPOSE’
    • April 20th – May 5th
    • Sept 21st – Oct 6th
