Manaslu Mountain Trail – 10th – 23rd Nov 2012

‘Run for light’

Considered by some as the best trail in the Himalayas, this mountain race takes you from subtropical Hindu villages and paddy fields to Buddhist settlements high in the mountains, passing through some of the rarely visited monasteries, then to the Tibetan border itself and across Larkye La to Manang. With only 3000 tourists a year, Manaslu is a much more authentic and rewarding than its neighbour Annapurna and leaves visitors with memories of a lost Nepal. With the hope of bringing light to the people of Samdo, the remotest village in Manaslu, we have pledged to donate proceeds from this first edition of the race to their hydroelectricity project.
