The Manaslu Circuit Trek is the best all round tea-house hike in Nepal on the Great Himalaya Trail; the new Annapurna Circuit. No camping needed.

Manaslu & Gorkha district marketing images

Earlier this year, the Great Himalaya Trail Development Programme (GHTDP) chose Gorkha as one of the districts in Nepal to work with to develop sustainable tourism management. Part of the work being undertaken there is skills training and developing Tourism Development Committees. Another great part is promoting the area, with its enhanced tourism infrastructure, to tourists.

This October, Kathmandu-based photographer Samir Thapa headed out to explore the Manaslu Trek with the purpose of capturing recent images which can be used for free (with some restrictions) by magazines and travel agents alike to present this area to the world.

Contact info@manaslutrek.org to find out more about using these images for reporting or promotion of Gorkha District Tourism.
